The Engineering Research Center (ERC)
for Particle Science & Technology
at the University of Florida is THE center for education, research and industrial collaboration in PS&T.

The website is http://www.erc.ufl.edu.

Does your work involve particles – stuff that is smaller than a grain of sand? (e.g., powders, granules, beads, dusts, cells, viruses, catalysts, ceramics, etc...)

Are you involved with any of these topics or processes? Particle measurement and characterization, coatings, slurries, separation, filtration, flocculation, rheology, powder transfer, pneumatic conveying, consolidation, agglomeration, adhesion, surfactants, polishing, grinding, nano-particles, dispersion, mixing, bin/hopper storage, powder flow, classification, particle interaction and bonding, reagents, crystal growth, suspensions, films, bonding ...

The field of Particle Science and Technology (PS&T) spans many industries, products and processes, and draws on expertise from several engineering and scientific disciplines. Industries such as microelectronics, pharmaceuticals, health care, consumer products, food processing, and nano-technology have benefited from research in particle science.

Survey of Technical Training and Professional Development

The ERC wants to better understand the education and training needs of engineers and scientists. If you work with particles – please complete the PS&T survey that follows.

Now is the time to provide your ideas so we can best serve your educational needs. The results of this survey will be used to design a program that delivers custom, needs-driven education for professionals.
